The Australasian Federation of Family History Groups, Inc This is an initiative of the UK based Federation of Family History Societies in association with the Australian Federation of Family History Organisations and the Society of Australian Genealogists.
NSW & ACT Association of Family History Societies, Inc. The NSW & ACT Association of Family History Societies was formed in 1984. From its formation until 1999 it operated under the name of the NSW Association of Family History Societies and from that year it incorporated the ACT into its name to better reflect the interests of the Heraldry & Genealogy Society of Canberra Inc. which had been a member since the Association's inception.
The Royal Australian Historical Society. The Royal Australian Historical Society (RAHS), Australia’s oldest historical organisation founded in Sydney in 1901, promotes the study of Australian history. The Society organises events, produces publications and provides research advice and support to its membership network of individuals and local historical societies, with a particular focus on New South Wales local and community history. Based at History House, 133 Macquarie Street, Sydney, our library contains a valuable research collection of more than 60,000 items on Australian history.
Canterbury & District Historical Society Founded in 1962, with one of the aims being to gather historical records of the Canterbury District, the Society has since the mid 1980's operated a Family and Local History Reasearch Centre in the historic Beulah Vista home, located in Church St. Canterbury.
